A focal point for research into the history and topography of London, especially the East End and radical social movements. It holds research material for local and family historians. The collection includes books, directories, maps, street guides, photos, prints and watercolours all available on open access or by request (10-12:30 & 2-4:45). The researchers area, which must be used for special collections, closes 1-2pm. No membership required.
